Samantha Walden

LPC

I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can be yourself, feel understood, and make meaningful progress. My approach is warm, collaborative, nonjudgmental, and active. I don’t believe therapy has to mean simply sitting and talking. Together, we can identify what is getting in the way and develop strategies that fit your strengths, needs, and everyday life.

I help clients identify strategies and supports that can help them succeed.
I work with children, adolescents, families, young adults, and adults, with a particular interest in ADHD and executive functioning challenges. I help clients strengthen skills related to organization, time management, focus, and attention. I also work with students on study and test-taking skills, test anxiety, and navigating the demands of school and college. Whether working through academic or work-related challenges, planning for college or a career, or navigating a life transition, I help clients identify strategies and supports that can help them succeed, including IEP and 504 accommodations.

I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Strength-Based Therapy, while incorporating creative and hands-on interventions when appropriate. Art, movement, nature, and other experiential activities can provide meaningful ways to explore emotions, build skills, and make therapy engaging.

My goal is to help clients feel understood, build confidence in their abilities, and develop tools they can carry with them beyond the therapy room.
